DIET&LIFESTYLE

At the root of my daily life are both Healthy Living and  Real Simple Food (but full of flavor). Having had my own personal experience of eating disorder when I was only 16, I have learned to listen to my body and tuned to my inner intuition to understand when to eat, what to eat, how much to eat, and so on… Without knowing I was practicing the fundamental principle of self-regulation.

Self-regulation or Homeostasis is what our body and mind thrive on throughout our entire life. I have witnessed the benefit of good nutrition and lifestyle changes. It is down to my own journey that I have a specialized interest in Acupuncture, Ayurveda and Nutrition to address problems related to Emotional Balance and Stress Management, Pain Management, Women's and Men's health,  GUT Health and Rejuvenation, seeing the positive impact on my own health.

Air, Water and Food represent the building blocks of life. In both Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine the act of breathing in and out is not a mere involuntary body action, it is about absorbing the subtle energy or Prana-Qi or vital force. The energy that makes up who and what you are. In Yoga it is said "Breathe less, live longer" (Read:  Yoga breathing enhances longevity).

Since primary school we have learned that our body is made of 70% of water, Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine advocate drinking warm pure water to deeply hydrate cellular membranes and maintain a youthful appearance (Read: https://joanlunden.com/category/6-beauty/item/404-cellular-hydration-is-key-to-a-more-youthful-appearance).

In all the ancient cultures Food it is not only a source of nourishment but it is medicine itself. However, food has changed so much over the last 40 years because of pesticides, hormones, poor soil, pollution, and much more. I have witnessed these changes at some point during my teenhood. Having been raised in a traditional Italian family, where each meal was a ritual, and food was very local and tasty.  I did develop and very fine taste and I did gradually perceive how food was becoming tasteless.

The authenticity of food has been lost and the food industry has replaced it with fake flavors, added sugar, hydrogenated fats, preservatives, synthetic vitamins and minerals, and It is not a coincidence that since the boom of the food industry disease as diabetes, cardiovascular, Alzheimer, etc

Both a holistic lifestyle and real food are at the core of my daily life and my goal is to share my passions with you and maybe help you to fall in love with the idea that cooking is fun and eating well does not have to be complicated, expensive or time-consuming.

If you wish to embrace this journey with me and reclaim your optimal health we will discuss your health concerns and what goals you want to achieve, making them practical and achievable. Through my integrated holistic approach, I will  help you to:

  • Find the root cause of an illness or condition

  • Address where the nutritional imbalances are

  • Identify the connections between the different systems in the body (ie: endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, immune, hormonal, skin, digestive, reproductive, musculoskeletal)

  • Restore optimum health and wellbeing

  • Educate and support you on your personal health journey using scientific research and literature to support my protocol

  • Promote health and vitality rather than focussing on the absence of an illness
