WHAT'S YOUR AYURVEDIC SKIN TYPE?

According to Ayurveda, some signs can help to determine your skin type:

Vata: Olive/darker, thin, dry, fine-pored, cold and rough, prone to wrinkles and ageing.

Pitta: Reddish, warm and sensitive, prone to rashes, hives, dermatitis, acne.

Kapha: Pale, thick, oily, cold and clammy, prone to enlarged pores, blackheads.

However, from an ayurvedic perspective, healthy skin is the manifestation of inner health. The skin is the largest organ of the body and its wellbeing is definitely affected by wrong diet and lifestyle, emotional and environmental stress.

Both Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine share the same mantra that "beauty comes from within", lotions and serums alone are not enough to get healthy skin unless someone is willing to go deeper and look at the root of the problem.

Healthy diet and daily routine, be in tune with own inner clocks in both Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine avoiding the problem at the root simply choosing to adopt a preventative approach " prevention is better than cure".
